Build a full web app with database, storage and landing page
The author used Replit Agent to build a Postgres-backed web app with image storage, analytics and a landing page; an S3 switch failed and was reverted.

- What they did
- On a $25/month Replit plan, the author gave the agent an improved prompt for a road-safety reporting site. The agent drafted a plan, built the app, a Neon-hosted Postgres database and UploadThing image storage, and added Google Analytics from a supplied tag. He pasted in errors to get fixes, and supplied the design brief, copy and hero image for the landing page. He later moved sign-in to Firebase.
- How it went
- The app deployed on the second attempt and runs on a custom domain. Agent and assistant usage cost $35.82 in total. The S3 switch failed over access controls, and the Firebase change broke a few things.
- Worth knowing
- Checkpoints cost $0.25 on the agent versus $0.05 on the assistant, so use the assistant for small edits. Development and production share one database.
Try it yourself with Replit Agent
Build a web app for [what the app does] with a Postgres database, image upload and storage, basic usage analytics and a simple landing page explaining it. Create a checkpoint after each major piece so we can roll back, and if a change like switching storage providers breaks things, revert it and tell me. You're done when I can sign up, upload an image, and see it again after reloading. Ask me before deploying publicly.
