Curate industry news and draft posts from it

One Zapier agent picks industry news, summarizes it, and logs it to Airtable as memory; a second agent drafts posts from that table.

What they did
Maddy Osman, founder of The Blogsmith, built two Zapier Agents. On a morning schedule, the first searches Google News through a search API, filters stories by her criteria, summarizes each for CMOs, and logs it to Airtable. A few minutes later, the second reads fresh rows, applies her uploaded style guide, drafts LinkedIn and X posts, and sends them to Slack for her approval.
How it went
It saves her hours each week, and a client asked her to build a similar system after she shared a demo online. The source gives no more precise numbers. She still reviews every post before it goes live.
Worth knowing
The first version took about a week to build. Osman recommends testing after every change, keeping instructions explicit but concise, and using Zapier's built-in integrations first.

Try it yourself with Zapier Agents

Build two Zapier Agents. The first runs [daily], picks the [3-5] most relevant news stories about [my industry], summarizes each in a couple of sentences with the link, and adds them to an [Airtable table]. The second reads that table and drafts [LinkedIn/X] posts in [my voice], saved as drafts only, and never posts publicly without my approval. Stick to facts from the stored summaries and don't invent statistics. You're done when one run fills the table and yields draft posts.
