Delegate medical paperwork, finances and lease renewal to a personal agent
The author gave a persistent OpenClaw agent limited access to email, calendar, files and messaging; in week one it processed medical paperwork, analyzed finances, worked on a lease renewal, and spawned five specialized agents.

- What they did
- Lane Rettig set up a persistent agent, Baz, with OpenClaw on a dedicated machine. It had limited access to email, calendar, files and chat apps, plus a memory file it reads each session. It scanned 34 pages of hospital forms, drafted an insurance pre-approval, and ran lease comps and cash-flow models. He reviewed everything before anything went out.
- How it went
- The paperwork took one afternoon, where he estimated a weekend. The lease analysis improved after he pushed back on a thin first pass. Delegation stayed partial: every external action needed his approval, and booking flights and spending money weren't possible.
- Worth knowing
- Each service integration (email, calendar, Slack, Telegram) took 30-60 minutes to set up by hand, repeated for every extra agent, and the author says a non-technical person couldn't do it today.
Try it yourself with OpenClaw
Act as my personal admin assistant with read access to my [email account], [calendar], and the folder [path to documents]. In the first week, sort my [medical paperwork/bills], summarize what needs action and by when, and draft a plan for [lease renewal or other task]. Do not send any messages, make payments, or delete files without showing me exactly what you are about to do and getting my approval.
