Find and rebook flights for a trip
A former travel worker had ChatGPT search flights via Kayak and suggest earlier return options, then booked a Houston-to-NYC flight.
Done with a custom-built or unnamed agent
- What they did
- Alexandra Zubko, who used to work in the travel industry, needed flights for a Costa Rica trip. She asked ChatGPT to look up flights, and it queried Kayak. It noticed the return flights landed later than she wanted and offered to look again. It found earlier Liberia-to-Houston departures, and the family then booked a Houston-to-NYC flight.
- How it went
- The family booked a return routed through Houston. She says Kayak alone could have done the same job. She preferred typing or dictating to ChatGPT over using Kayak's filters and buttons.
- Worth knowing
- She books only on airline-direct or Kayak-style searches, not online travel agents, and avoids stops. State your own constraints like these up front. The post doesn't say how the booking was completed.
