Attempt to book a couple's flight (failed)

A Slate reporter asked Muse to book flights; it hit a captcha, was kicked from the browser and achieved nothing, so he booked himself.

What they did
Alex Kirshner first found the flight himself on Google Flights. For journalistic reasons he then asked Meta's Muse app to book flights for him and his wife, after storing his airline login in Muse's vault. Muse hit a captcha and, with his permission, tried to pass it and failed. He logged in himself and handed control back, and Muse was kicked out of the browser a few minutes later.
How it went
The attempt took 30 minutes and achieved nothing. Kirshner then booked the flights himself in five minutes, for just over $500.
Worth knowing
Agents may get stopped by captchas and bot detection on airline sites. Expect to take over by hand, and budget time for the manual fallback.

Try it yourself with Meta Muse

Find round-trip flights for two people from [origin city] to [destination] departing [date] and returning [date], with seats together and a budget of about [amount] per person. If you hit a captcha or login, stop and tell me so I can complete it. Give me your top three options with prices, times and links, and pause for my approval before entering any passenger or payment details.
