Build a spending-insights app from bank transactions

Plaid describes a Replit connector that lets non-coders prompt the Replit agent to build an app reading their own bank transactions (vendor post, no named user).

Done withReplit Agent

What they did
You set up a Replit account and a Plaid dashboard account, then copy your client ID and secret into Replit, which stores them in a vault. Next you add Plaid as a connector and link your bank, or use sandbox data first. Then you prompt the Replit agent to build a dashboard, summary, or chat interface from the categorized transactions. The post doesn't show the agent's own steps.
How it went
The post reports no results from a finished app. It says setup takes about five minutes and lists example questions, such as comparing dining spend month to month. A live build demo was scheduled for May 7.
Worth knowing
You can prototype with Plaid's sandbox synthetic data before linking a real account, and builders can only access their own financial data.

Try it yourself with Replit Agent

Build me a web app that connects to my own bank account through Plaid and reads my recent transactions. It should group spending by [categories, e.g. groceries, dining, subscriptions] and show a monthly chart plus a list of my biggest [number] expenses. Use Plaid sandbox test data first, and stop once the dashboard loads and I can see the chart; ask me before connecting any real account or storing any credentials.
