Summarize email and prep briefings from your phone
A Fortune writer used Claude Dispatch with Cowork to summarize and pick out important emails, plus recurring morning briefings and meeting prep from the calendar.
Done withClaude Cowork
- What they did
- Over a month, the writer used Dispatch, which links the Claude phone app to Claude Desktop and runs tasks in Cowork on her computer. From her phone she asked for email summaries, for the important emails to be picked out, and for prep on the next calendar meeting. Scheduled Cowork tasks can produce recurring daily briefings, and Dispatch handles follow-up questions. IT had her use a tester laptop.
- How it went
- Email triage cut her inbox clutter significantly and pulled out the important messages, and meeting prep worked from a lunch line. It failed on Shortcuts and on sending screenshots outside the Claude app, and sometimes it was slower than doing the task herself.
- Worth knowing
- It needs a $200/month Max plan and a laptop that stays awake, unlocked, with the app open. Start read-only and require approval before anything is sent or changed.
Try it yourself with Claude Cowork
Look through my email from the last [time period] and summarize the messages that matter, flagging anything that needs a reply or has a deadline. Then check my calendar and write a briefing for [today or tomorrow] with each meeting, who is attending, and any prep I should do based on related emails. Set this up as a recurring morning briefing at [time]. Don't send or reply to anything; just give me the summaries.
