Handle executive admin: email drafts, bookkeeper questions, insurance forms
A Dots agent declined an invitation, drafted a lawyer email, answered bookkeeper questions, and filled an insurance broker form by finding the lease and budget documents, saving about two hours.

- What they did
- Casey Newton gave his Dot, named Kicker, access to his work accounts and ran it in the background as a running chat in ChatGPT while he wrote. It handled routine email and bookkeeper questions. For the insurance broker's form, it found the lease, searched city websites, checked budget documents, and asked him follow-up questions. He gave permission before it emailed his speaking agent.
- How it went
- Kicker answered all but two of the broker's questions. Newton estimates it did about two hours of work for about 15 minutes of his effort. This was a limited test, only a couple of hours.
- Worth knowing
- Dots is limited to paid ChatGPT users (he mentions about $100 a month), and it needs broad access to email and financial data, so he suggests starting with a lower-stakes connection such as Slack.
